Foreword:
This is my sincere translation of the Constitution of India in Urdu, I’ve taken enough care to be as accurate as possible.
There may be several Urdu versions of translation of Constitution of India at book shops, the problem with those are that they mostly use Hindi or even English words and just use the Urdu script to write them down, I don’t call such work as proper translation ie: Hindi word for socialism is samaaj-waad, and you’d find exactly this word in Urdu translations, though there is proper word for socialism in Urdu. Secondly, I couldn’t find any Urdu translation of Constitution of India available on net. This is exactly when I started to translate parts of Constitution on my own, as I’m a passionate admirer of the Constitution of India. I have used proper literal and constitutional Urdu words.
Urdu is an international language and also one of the major languages of India. A lot of people relate Urdu just up to poetries and lyrics, which is an insult for Urdu, though a lot of people understand the real span of Urdu and are interested in exploring Urdu. Urdu and Hindi are mutually intelligible languages but because Urdu uses the Perso-Arabic script, people who are able to read Hindi which uses Devanagari script find it impossible to read Urdu. And many a time people who are Urdu speakers yet can’t read the script also find it difficult to read Urdu.
In our modern era of mass-communication, Roman script has penetrated scope of all languages, as people simply use Roman script to write various languages. Thus, as an effort from my side, to increment the scope of Urdu, where both Hindi and Urdu speakers can read and understand the Constitution of India in Urdu, I took the mode of Roman script to write Urdu.
I have kept English version beneath every clause for counter references. I’ve also made word glossaries one from English to Urdu and another from Urdu to English

Ye mera Aain e Hind ka Urdu me ek mukhlisaana tarjuma hae, maene kaafi ehtiyaat barta hae taake tarjuma mumkina had tak sahih rahe.
Kutub-khaanou me Urdu me Aain e Hind ke kayi tarjume dasteyaab hae, lekin oonke saath mas’ala ye hae ke wo Angrezi ya Hindi ke alfaaz ko mehez Urdu huruf ke saath likh dete hae, mae ise tarjuma nahi kehta, misaal ke taur par: Angrezi ke socialism lafz ko ya tou Angrezi ke hi lafz ko likh kar kar dena ya fir Hindi ke ooske tarjume samaaj-waad ko hi likh kar kar dena, wo bhi tab jab ke Urdu me iske liye makhsus lafz maujud hae. Dusra ye ke mujhe net par Aain e Hind ka koi Urdu tarjuma nahi mila. Tabhi se maene Aain e Hind ke hisso ka khud hi tarjuma karna shuru kar diya, iski waja ye bhi hae ke mae khud Aain e Hind me kaafi dil chaspi leta hu. Maene sahi adabi aur aaini alfaaz ka istemaal kiya hae.
Urdu ek bainul aqwaami zabaan hae, aur Hind ki ek aeham zabaan bhi hae. Aksar log Urdu ki had mehez shero shaayeri tak hi mehdud samajhte hae, aesi soch Urdu is beizzati karna hae, iske baawajood kayi saare log Urdu ki had se waaqif hae, aur Urdu ko mazid jazb karna chahte hae. Urdu aur Hindi ek dusri zabaan ke bolne waalou ko aapas me samajh me aati hae, lekin kyuke Urdu ki likhaayi Farsi-Arabi huruf me ki jaati hae, wo log jo Hindi padh sakte hae jisme Devanagari huruf istemaal kiye jaate hae, wo log Urdu nahi padh paate. Kayi martaba kayi Urdu bolne wale log bhi jo Urdu likhaayi nahi padh paate.
Hamaare is mass-media ke jadiid zamaane me, Roman huruf tamaam zabaanou ke hudud me dakhil ho chukka hae, log zyadatar martaba oonki zabanou ko Roman huruf istemal karke hi likh dete hae. Urdu zaban ki farogh me meri taraf se bhi ye ek koshish hae, taake Urdu aur Hindi dono ke hi bolne waale Aain e Hind ke is Urdu tarjume ko padh aur samajh sake, isi wajaah se maene Urdu likhne ke liye Roman huruf ka istemaal kiya hae.
Maene Angrezi asal ko har nukut ne niche muwaazne ki garaz se jode rakha hae. Maene do mukhtasar lughaat bhi tayyaar ki hae, ek Angrezi se Urdu ke liye aur dusri Urdu se Angrezi ke liye.
Mae aapki tamaam raae aur mashwaraat ka khair maqdam karta hu.
