Deeni Aazaadi ka Haqq 
Right to Freedom of Religion 

25. Khayaalaat aur deen ke aazaadaana iqraar, amal aur tabligh ki aazaadi 
Freedom of conscience and free profession, practice and propagation of religion

25(1). Awaami nizaam, qirdaar aur sehat aur is hisse ke dighar usul ke tehat rehte hue, har shaks ko khayaalaat ki aazaadi aur deen ko aazaadaana tarz par iqraar, amal, aur tabligh karne ka masaawaati haqq hae. 
Subject to public order, morality and health and to the other provisions of this Part, all persons are equally entitled to freedom of conscience and the right freely to profess, practise and propagate religion.

25(2). Is mazmoon ka koi bhi pehlu kisi maujuda qaanun ki ta’meel par asar nahi karta ya Sarkaar ko aesi kisi qaanun saazi se nahi rok sakta- 
Nothing in this article shall affect the operation of any existing law or prevent the State from making any law—

25(2a). deeni amal se judi kisi ma’ashi, maali, siyaasi ya aalamaani sargarmi ko mutayyin ya mehdud karne se; 
regulating or restricting any economic, financial, political or other secular activity which may be associated with religious practice;

25(2b). ma’ashri behtari ya islaah faraaham karne se ya awaami tarz ke Hindu deeni idaarou ko Hinduo ke har tabqe aur firqe ke liye khol dene se. 
providing for social welfare and reform or the throwing open of Hindu religious institutions of a public character to all classes and sections of Hindus.

Wazaahat I. – Kirpaan pehen’ne ya saath rakhne ko Sikh deen ke iqraar me shumaar tasliim kiya jaayega. 
Explanation I.—The wearing and carrying of kirpans shall be deemed to be included in the profession of the Sikh religion.

Wazaahat II. – nukut (2) ke zere-nukut (b) me, Hinduo ka jo tazkera hua hae, usme aese ashkhaas bhi shaamil maane jayenge jo Sikh, Jaina ya Bouddh deen ka iqraar karte hae, aur Hindu deeni idaarou ka matlab bhi isi tarz par hoga. 
Explanation II.—In sub-clause (b) of clause (2), the reference to Hindus shall be construed as including a reference to persons professing the Sikh, Jaina or Buddhist religion, and the reference to Hindu religious institutions shall be construed accordingly.

26. Deeni ma'amlaat ke intezaam ki aazaadi
Freedom to manage religious affairs 

Awaami nizaam, qirdaar aur sehat ke tehat rehte hue, har deeni firqe ya uske kisi tabqe ko ye haqq hoga- 
Subject to public order, morality and health, every religious denomination or any section thereof shall have the right—

26(a). deeni aur imdaadi maqaasid ke tehat idaare qaayam karne aur unke intezaam ka; 
to establish and maintain institutions for religious and charitable purposes;

26(b). deeni masaael me apne khud ke ma'amlaat ke intezaam ka; 
to manage its own affairs in matters of religion;

26(c). manquulah aur ghaer e manqulah jaaedaad ki milkiyat aur husul ka; aur 
to own and acquire movable and immovable property; and

26(d). qaanun ke mutaabiq aesi jaaedaad ke nizaam ka. 
to administer such property in accordance with law. 

27. Kisi khaas deen ki farogh ke liye zaraaeb ki aadaaygi se nijaat
Freedom as to payment of taxes for promotion of any particular religion 

Kisi bhi shaks ko aese zaraaeb ada karne ke liye majboor nahi kiya ja sakta, jis se hui aamdani kisi khaas deen ya deeni tabqe ki tabligh ya intezaamaat ke ikhraajaat ke liye khususan mutayyin ki gayi ho.
No person shall be compelled to pay any taxes, the proceeds of which are specifically appropriated in payment of expenses for the promotion or maintenance of any particular religion or religious denomination.

28. Ba'az ta’alimi idaarou me deeni dars ya deeni ibaadat me sharik hone se nijaat 
Freedom as to attendance at religious instruction or religious worship in certain educational institutions

28(1). Kisi bhi ta’alimi idaare, jiska mukammal intezaam Sarkaari khazaane se hota ho, oos me deeni dars nahi faraaham kiya jaa sakta. 
No religious instruction shall be provided in any educational institution wholly maintained out of State funds.

28(2). Nukut (1) ka koi bhi pehlu, aese ta’alimi idaare par laagu nahi hota, jo Sarkaar ki zere-nighraani me to hou, lekin jiska qayaam kisi waqf ya amaanat-daari ki bina par hua ho aur oske tehat deeni dars faraaham karaana laazim ho. 
Nothing in clause (1) shall apply to an educational institution which is administered by the State but has been established under any endowment or trust which requires that religious instruction shall be imparted in such institution.

28(3). Kisi bhi shakhs par jo kisi aese ta’alimi idaare me daakhil hae jo Sarkaar se taslim-shuda hae ya oose Sarkaari khazaane se imdaad haasil hoti ho osme kisi deeni dars jo aese idaaro me faraaham kiya jaata ho ya koi deni ibaadat jo aese idaare me ya inse jude kisi aehaate me hoti ho unme shirkat karna laazim nahi kiya jaa sakta, jab tak ke us shaks ne ya, agar aesa shaks naa-baaligh hae tou ooske kafil ne is par apni raza na de di ho. 
No person attending any educational institution recognised by the State or receiving aid out of State funds shall be required to take part in any religious instruction that may be imparted in such institution or to attend any religious worship that may be conducted in such institution or in any premises attached thereto unless such person or, if such person is a minor, his guardian has given his consent thereto.
